Writing Style: Charming and authentic, with references to her "ma" and her "bubbies."
Surprisingly good advice: Avoid dried basil. "You might as well crumble dead leaves...over your food."
Plot twist: Her recipe for pasta puttanesca (Italian for "...whore's pasta") is named after Danielle.
Moral: "The Olive garden does not serve Italian food. They serve American-Italian food; and there's a big, big difference-a difference you will see in your big, big butt..."
